Hello!? Is anyone home!?

Yes, I am still here...alive and kickin'. I have lots to post about. I didn't realize that it had been over a month since I posted last!

First off, Garyn's first haircut. We took him to Tana on March 14th. He and his daddy both got hair cuts. Garyn did really well, but there was a rather large bridal party in the salon, and he kept looking around to see what was going on. Any time Tana would tilt his head or turn his head, he would hold it...at least for a few seconds. Now my baby looks like a handsome little boy!

Before the haircut!
Aren't I so cute?

Next up...Garyn's first oreo. What can I say!? Mommy loves oreos and milk and when you have kids, you have to share. He was so excited. He was bouncing up and down in his seat until the next bite. I could hardley get a bite in edgewise! (This was March 25th.)

Next...Garyn's first big snow. I know, I know. We've had snow this year. But, we haven't had a really big snow. We stayed in all day and watched it snow. Garyn was fascinated by it!

Excuse the hair!
Next...Ellie got to make snow ice cream. I'm sure that just about everyone has done this at one time or another. This was mine, Wes's and Ellie's first time. Garyn had already gone to bed, so he didn't get to participate. The snow was kind of dry and powdery, so when we added the Eagle brand, it was SOOOO sweet we had to add more snow. It was so good that Ellie kept saying, "I want s'more daddy!"
Yummy!
Next...Momma's maniacs! This will need some explaining. Wes has all sorts of dressings and such around the house--he tends to get bloody boo boo's when he plays sports. He has a roll of pre-wrap (the spongy stuff that you put under athletic tape so that it doesn't rip all of your skin, hair and sweat glands off when you take it off) and some blue athletic tape. A while back when Ellie saw daddy using it, she thought that she needed it too. He wrapped some around her head, wrists and ankles. When she was running around the house afterwards, we sang the Flashdance song, "I'm a maniac (on the floor)" to her. The other night she found some pre-wrap and said, "Daddy, I wanna be a maniac!" Of course, she wanted everyone to participate...except me. Do you think that she knew I had already taken a trip to Crazytown that day?

Last but not least...my daughter's new fashion statement.

Yes, these are my knee high boots. I was taking a shower and she came to me and said that she was wearing my shoes. When I opened the door, these are the ones that she'd chosen. She actually walked pretty well in them and wore them for about an hour!

That's about all that's going on in my crazy world. I do have a few prayer requests though: Wes's grandmother is in hospice after recently finding a mass behind her heart and a collection of fluid in her lungs--please pray for peace not only for her but for the whole family, my dad is still looking for a job, some of our dearest friends in Oregon (Glen and Stacia) just found out that they are pregnant--pray for, as Stacia calls it, a sticky baby, some friends of ours in Dallas (Justin and Tiffany) recently found out that they are pregnant and Tiffany has been hospitalized for some blood clots--please pray for a healthy mom and baby and for some peace and reassurance for their family. Lastly, I am applying to grad school to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. I am a little nervous about going back to school, that is, if I am even accepted, but it's now or never!

Thank you so much for the prayer request. That little Ellie is going to be a heartbreaker! Whew! Wes better polish up on his intimidation skills! Not to mention, Garyn is growing so fast.

Love you!
